Meet Ivan Mudingo

Ivan Mudingo is indeed a man of many talents. We reached out to learn a bit more about himself. We had a chat with him in Amsterdam.

Could you quickly introduce yourself?

My name is Ivan. I am 30 years old. I am French/ Cameroonian. After playing competitive sports, travelling , studying all around the world, I ended up in Amsterdam 4 years ago.

What are you doing when you’re not working?

Many things. I have a lot of energy and a very curious mind that needs to be constantly fed with fresh input. To cite a few; I love spending time with my family and friends, travelling, the outdoors, (extreme) sports, music, arts. I also love going to the movies, watching documentaries about space and socio/political issues, read about the latest discoveries on everything regarding technology and human sciences/behaviors. If you would label me, I guess I would be a creative athletic nerd!

How did you get in touch with These Cavemen?

I met them a while ago when they were filming on a campaign for a major Dutch brand I was modeling for.

Could you tell us more about Disorderly Habits, the project you’re working for?

Disorderly Habits started as a street wear brand a few years ago as I was looking for a way to outlet my thirst for entrepreneurship and my creative impulses. Sports being a big part of our life, we wanted to develop a platform where we could somehow support young talented athletes and creative characters. We slowly restructured the brand to become a media and creative studio aiming at collaborating in all sorts of domains and documenting the emergence of new disciplines, ideas and lifestyles.

How did you came across the modeling world?

I came across the modeling world a few times in the past ten years but did not jump on board the ship right away as I did not think it was the right time yet. However, the fourth scouting, which occurred a bit more than three years ago in Amsterdam, felt right and I ended up joining my mother agency, Republicmen, which has been nothing but really….really fantastic.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

The one million dollar question! Well, a few years ago, I would have answered “je ne sais pas”. Today I can say that…I have no idea what I will be doing work wise even though a few people see me in politics, acting or maybe sports and nutrition. However my instinct tells me and I believe that despite life’s mystical ways, I will be a wiser man, a better friend, brother, son and partner.

Can you tell what do you like about Manfred+Cracco?

I really like the simple, classy yet punchy look of the watches. I can easily wear my watch for many occasions. Combine it to a dress code when a suit is required or a casual and relax style when I wear my black denim and a leather jacket.

Which one is your favorite watch?

The one I own: the Morris 40mm Black.
